This is a book club with commitment issues😂.I get to choose the books to read. You get to choose whether to partake or not☠️.Everyone wins.I am wary of terming it as a book club. Some entries will be random musings.
2024, my reading list resembles that of an aspiring tech evangelist. Why?I read more when I have a theme in mind.Tech because I already cannot understand most of the jargon being thrown around.I like being in the loop. I should be able to throw in a few other themes to spice things up.
The bottom line is I just want to read and write better consistently. Half way through 2023 , I took up weekly writing with my friend. Some days I was abounding with words.Other days I had only a smattering of words. It still turned out to be one of the best gifts.
Books have also played a role in this adventure:
"If you can’t code, write books and blogs, record videos and podcasts." The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson
“Carving out a space for yourself online, somewhere where you can express yourself and share your work, is still one of the best possible investments you can make with your time. It's why, after ten years, my first response to anyone just getting started online is to start , and maintain, a blog.” Show Your Work by Austin Kleon
I plan to curate a few meet ups along the way ; to pick each others brains.
❤️ A READ FOR YOU:)
The one where we say goodbye. Mwamburi owes us a book😂😂.
17 Life Learnings from 17 years of the Marginalian. Maria Popova writes with so much soul.
